About BI Norwegian Business School

'BI Norwegian Business School is one of the top 50 business schools in Europe. Our modern campus is in Oslo, the capital city of Norway. We have small class sizes that encourage active participation and allow students and professors the opportunity to connect on a more personal level.'

‘We are a ‘triple crown’ accredited business school, which means that we have gained the three most important international accreditations. As such, our course materials are reviewed frequently to ensure the curriculum is relevant to working within the particular industry upon graduation. ‘Housing is guaranteed for international students, and we do not charge an application fee to apply. Each programme provides students the choice to do an internship or an exchange semester abroad.'

Undergraduate courses taught in English

'We offer three bachelor’s degree programmes taught entirely in English:

  • Bachelor of business administration - an internationally-recognised degree that gives students a broad understanding of business management and allows them the option to specialise in one of the following areas: Finance, international business, or shipping management.
  • Bachelor of data science for business - data science skills are in demand across many industries and employers are looking for people who can make business decisions with the data that is collected. Graduates of this programme will enter the workforce with technical programming skills alongside a broad understanding of business aspects.
  • Bachelor of digital business - this degree offers students the ability to become proficient within digitalisation. This competence is lacking in the business world as organisations are unable to find enough people who can keep up with the pace of digital software advancements. Graduates will leave the programme with a broad understanding of business alongside a technical background in the fundamentals of digital technology.'

International students

'International students like the orientation week that begins their journey at BI. They appreciate all the activities and ability to meet other undergraduates who are starting at the same time as them. They also talk highly about the services that BI provides for them: career counselling, tutoring, networking and counselling. They speak about the accessibility to professors and how the class sizes are good. They also mention how much they appreciate the measures BI takes to try and incorporate them into the community of Oslo and academic community at BI.'

Cambridge International students

'We welcome students who have done Cambridge International qualifications. The curriculum they follow gives them a solid base for learning at an undergraduate level. They have built good study habits already, allowing a smoother transition into higher education. ‘We generally require three Cambridge International A Levels together with Cambridge IGCSE. There are no specific course requirements aside from completing a mathematics course if Data Science is the preferred degree programme. There are no grade requirements for entry into the undergraduate programmes.'

'Students who have taken Cambridge IGCSE English can be exempted from an English proficiency test if they achieve a grade B or above.'

'If Cambridge International students have any questions about admission requirements, they can email us and we will help them.'

Advice to Cambridge International students

'Studying in Norway might not be the typical route, but that is okay. We want students who are interested in a different experience. When you study in Norway you get the opportunity to access nature you may not be familiar with. Norwegian society places an importance on a healthy work/life balance so you will be learning in an environment that promotes this principle.'

'Studying abroad is an excellent way to learn different perspectives. 'BI Norwegian Business School is one of the top 50 business schools in all of Europe. As we are triple crown accredited, students do not have to worry about getting a quality, relevant education. The campus is in Oslo which is an international city, nestled between the mountains and the sea, with excellent public transport options.'

'All international students are guaranteed housing which takes away the stress of having to find a place to live when moving to a new country. The housing areas are located near campus and in the city centre. If students apply before the housing deadline of 1 May, they will have a place to live. These can cost between 350 – 600 euros per month depending on the style of accommodation.'
